Commercial Kitchen Building Deck Extension

| In 2000, we completed the construction of a new deck extension to our commerical kitchen building. Those readers who have visited CW may have been familiar with the previous "open arms" design of the two wings. The central earth area has been decked in to the same level as the existing verandah areas.
This work was undertaken by community volunteer labour and we made all possible use of recycled building materials. Poles for the roof came from trees on our property and the final design was sympathetic to the original concept for the kitchen building and overall design philosophy for the village area of Crystal Waters. The next stage was to erect a temporary shadecloth/canvas roof and to complete landscaping in the area of the building, with the final stage to be a new weather proof roof, hopefully to be constructed in 2003!
