The Third Communities Conference
was held at Crystal Waters Permaculture Village in November 2000.

We explored community aliveness in many ways - culturally, ecologically and economically.

The Conference brought together many community members from around Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere to share experiences and find new ways forward.

Simultaneously, the inaugural Blooming Arts Festival was held - an event which was integrated into the conference - providing opportunities for conference participants to explore their creativity together through performance, movement, music, crafts and visual art.

For 5 days, we lived together as a community, being creative, discussing and workshoping many key community issues, and sharing in the abundance of knowledge and skills that others have gained from living in communities throughout this part of the world.

The next Conference will be in 2003 or 2004.
We seek a community willing to host the event.
Heaps of assistance from past organisers
and a seed fund will be available.

It is estimated that over 10,000 Australians live in intentional communities throughout the country in both urban and rural areas. These communities are diverse varying considerably in size, focus, structure and level of establishment. There is much we can learn from each other and also much we con offer others looking for a positive and vibrant way of life and a sustainable future.

Intentional Communities - Legal Agreements Resources

Dear conference attendees,

Several people asked for copies of the doc I was putting together on getting legal agreements together.

Its at http://earth.path.net/mitra/communities_plain.htm, this is just a first draft, and any comments would be very welcome.
