Mid-North Coast Ecologist – Port Macquarie & Surrounds

Ecological Solutions delivers expert ecological consulting services across the Mid-North Coast of NSW, including Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey, Greater Taree, Great Lakes, and surrounding regions. The Mid-North Coast is one of NSW's fastest-growing coastal regions, with significant development pressure on areas of high ecological value. Our team provides thorough, practical ecological assessments to help your project navigate environmental requirements efficiently.

Mid-North Coast Ecological Environment

The Mid-North Coast features outstanding biodiversity, from coastal heathlands and wetlands to subtropical and dry rainforest on the escarpment ranges. The region is nationally significant for Koala populations, particularly in the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, which supports one of Australia's most important Koala populations. Other key threatened species include the Grey-headed Flying-fox, Squirrel Glider, Spotted-tailed Quoll, and numerous threatened shorebird species. Important threatened ecological communities include Subtropical Coastal Floodplain Forest, Swamp Sclerophyll Forest, and Lowland Rainforest. Development proposals regularly require BDAR, Flora & Fauna Assessments, and specialised Koala habitat assessments.
